GLOBDIVES INTRODUCED DURING THE UNED (THE SPANISH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF DISTANCE EDUCATION) OPENING CEREMONY




The Project GLOBDIVES was presented within the framework of a plenary lecture on intercultural sensitivity  at the UNED academic opening ceremony in Ourense on the 28th of November 2022. The title of the lecture was "Actores y espectadores en un mundo globalizado: la interculturalidad a escena".

About 100 national and local authorities, together with professors, students, and interested participants attended the event, and showed great interest in the topic.

TRAIN THE TRAINERS SESSION IN OURENSE (SPAIN). OCTOBER, 3-5, 2023.

 



The members of the European project KA2 Global Citizenship and Diversity Management Skills in Higher Education (Globdives) met at the campus of Ourense to carry out one of their lines of action, a training programme for teachers based on the research findings obtained by the group. 



The course delved deep into the development and implementation of a global citizenship and diversity management skills programme in higher education.

 A total of 30 teachers from Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Romania, and Spain actively participated and shared their insights to optimise the elaboration of the training toolkit.



Train the trainers local: University of Vigo




From November 23 to December 1, 2023, three different workshops of Train the 

Trainers were celebrated on the three campuses of the University of Vigo: Vigo, Pontevedra, and Ourense, with a total of 113 participants from different subject areas. Alba Quintairos, Sherine Samy, and Elena de Prada adapted the project toolkit to Spanish and worked on different scenarios and contexts, taking into account the participants' previous experiences.


The sessions on interculturality generated a great deal of debate and participation and had a powerful effect on the attendees.













The participants considered that introducing the analysed concepts and practices into their specific situations was highly relevant.
