Globalization and Higher Education in Economics and Business Administration (GEBA 2023) Conference, October 19-21, 2023

 

Preliminary insights from the research conducted on higher education teachers were presented in Iasi, Romania at Globalization and Higher Education in Economics and Business Administration (GEBA 2023) Conference hold from 19^thto 21^st of October 2023 (https://www.feaa.uaic.ro/geba). Carmen Claudia Aruștei (UAIC) and Jaana Hakli (LAB) presented the results from Output no 3 to an audience of 7 academics focusing on higher education teachers’ confidence in their diversity and inclusion competencies necessary for a more and more diverse classroom (Output no. 3). The GLOBDIVES project results reached academics from other Romanian Universities and the book of abstracts is available online and was also distributed to over 100 academics participating to the conference all over the world.

GLOBDIVES was at the STAR Global Conference-Uvigo UNESCO Chair on Transformative Education, participating in a round table session and chairing a panel about global citizenship and diversity management, in which four different research papers based on the project results were presented.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT MEETING. OURENSE, SPAIN.

On the 6th of October 2023, GLOBDIVES members met in Ourense, Spain (Faculty of Education), hosted by the University of Vigo.

This meeting had the purpose of evaluating GLOBDIVES and organising the next steps for project development and implementation. The ways to organise training courses by the newly trained teachers were discussed. Once the project is finished, the objective is to integrate its proposals within the respective universities to promote and facilitate global citizenship and diversity in the classroom.
